Daily Duel results for 14 August 2014

Dave Nicholson

Dave Nicholson For an instant duel what's the cutoff point for it counting Conundrums as a max?

I got both but slowly and it hasn't counted them, I see others have had the same, just wondering for future so I know how quickly I've got to gamble!

Matt Hamer

Matt Hamer Dave: The metric for "Maxes score" is that you only score if you achieve the max number of points which would be available for that round if it were scored conventionally. So, for a Goatdown conundrum, you only score if you solve it before the missing letter is revealed, and for Instant, you only score if you solve the conundrum in less than or equal to one-tenth of the total time allowed for the round.

Dave Nicholson

Dave Nicholson Thanks Matt, I knew that would be the reason, just wasn't sure at what point it became classed as not a max.

Cheers!
