Here's your handy cut-out-and-keep guide to the events of May 2012.
In the news...
- 1st May. All format pages have been majorly revamped.
- 1st May. Format high scores now show each player only once, use raw scores rather than game scores, and always show your position even if you're not the top 25 (or whatever). This should put some cats amongst some pigeons! The old lists are still available under all high scores.
- 1st May. Lexplorer can now find the longest words from any given selection. (Remember that Lexplorer queries are logged, so it's not a good idea to use this to cheat.) [Edit: run into a technical problem with this, it'll be back soon.]
- 4th May. Latin!
- 4th May. You can now block and unblock players even when they are offline, via their user page. A list of your currently blocked players is also available in your Settings page.
- 7th May. You can now explicitly opt out of receiving further notifications from topics you've commented on, and opt in to notifications from topics you haven't. (Note that you'll still be notified if you the topic directly relates to you, even if you unsubscribe; this only applies to notifications received because you commented on the topic.)
- 7th May. I've written a short blog post discussing the new front page.
- 13th May. Riku Nuolentekija joined.
- 14th May. New blog article, the first in the new series Vox Ludio: an interview with Innis Carson. Comes with ungrammatical Latin as standard.
- 16th May. Tournaments are now organised into rounds, you can browse rounds of each tournament, and all that sort of stuff.
- 22nd May. Stuart Mac joined.
- 24th May. Anoush Khachik joined.
- 26th May. Mr Cool joined.
- 31st May. Ryan Sword joined.
