In the news...

• 7th August. Google Chrome users only: you can now receive notifications even when apterous is not the current tab. Just click the "Auto-notify" button on the top left and select "Allow". (If you'd rather not, click Auto-notify and then "Deny"; we'll try to avoid asking more than once.)
• 8th August. Time for Top Dog to get some love! There will now be more variety in the daily format: Monday, Wednesday, Friday will be letters, numbers, conundrums respectively; Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday will be a mix of two of the three, and Sunday will be a mix of all three. Enjoy. (Thanks Thomas Carey.)
• 9th August. Congratulations to the magnificent seven who completed a perfect year of Game of the Week voting, picking up all 52 ostraca in the process: Adam Gillard, Ben Wilson, Chris Hare, Ian Volante, Innis Carson, Matt Bayfield and (embarrassingly enough) me. Keep it up bros!
• 12th August. Miłosz Meller joined.
• 13th August. apterous History: June 2011.
• 14th August. The long-overdue process of tidying up our statistics is finally underway. The main change will be the separation of Leader boards from general-purpose statistics, which will remain in Statland. Leader boards are visible to everyone (including non-subscribers) and will receive special treatment in various ways. Stay tuned!
• 17th August. apterous History: July 2011.
• 18th August. The Eightfold Path: Star Chart path for Octorock. (Thanks Julie T.)
• 19th August. There's currently an important discussion about Duel conundrums on the forum. Your input is welcome.
