Tourney round: The Mole: Series 4 - A Process Of Elimination

<< Series 3 - The Mole's Revenge | Series 5 - The Grey Area >>

Notes from the organizer: SIGN-UPS ARE CHECKED AS OPEN TO MAKE THIS SHOW UP ON THE FRONT PAGE. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE, BUT RATHER IN A PRIVATE MESSAGE. VIEW THIS AS AN IDIOT TEST.

Please be sure to read all of this before doing anything – Failure to do so is likely to result in people doing something very stupid.

Jen. Jane. Chardonnay. The 3 players who so far have warded off all challengers, evaded the attack of the Moles, and come out victorious. Now it's time to add a fourth name to that list. Maybe it's you.

That's right, The Mole is back for a 4th series and if the progression of the previous series is anything to go by, this should be bigger, better and even more of a mindmelter than ever before.

It'll take wit, intellect and maybe even a devious nature to vanquish that pesky mole for a 4th time. Are you up to the challenge?

For those of you who are newish to the site, or for the older ones who have (somehow) managed to miss The Mole entirely, you'll find a background guide to the idea written by series 2 winner Jandy Smatt at the bottom of this post. I would advise you read this to work out exactly what's going on before you enter, if only to be prepared for what's to come.

So what are we looking for? Well once again, the maximum number of entries will be capped at 24, but this time around, there's no real minimum. I'd rather have 10 people who're gonna give it their all than 18 people that are going to make a half-cocked attempt.

The game will start on Saturday January 3rd 2015 - giving you time to get Christmas out of the way. There will then be a task every Tuesday and Saturday until series close. The end date will depend on the number of entries, but even with 24 entries, I think the back end of March would be the absolute latest it would run until. It's more likely to be early March. There will be a 1 task break just after the first elimination for CoLin XI, but other than that everything should run consecutively.

As previously, every player will have the opportunity to play for at LEAST the first 3 weeks, giving you plenty of time to bed yourselves in and get an idea who the saboteur in your midst may be.

Sign-ups will be blind once more meaning you will have no idea who else has entered. Do NOT post here saying you plan to enter. If you wish to enter, send me a message in private. And the pseudonyms will still be in full force, giving those of you with a penchant for the theatrical the chance to create a whole new character for yourself.

Quizzes will be very slightly different in this series, whilst immunities have taken a radical overhauling for this series, but more on that nearer to the time...

Finally, upon entering this time around, all players will receive a short list of firm and steadfast rules for the competition. This is as a result of a couple of previous instances that have made us feel that we have to spell things out a little more. However at this very point, the most important one that may be relevant even now, is that out-of-character alliances are now outlawed. We'll be explaining that in due course.

Hope to see as many of you involved as possible!

The Mole Management Team.
