Gevin Chapwell Could be tight.
Jon Stitcher Tough round, really can't afford to miss any of your own picks. I missed two but got enough easy 4L to see me through.
Gevin Chapwell The way things stand, I think I'll scrape it on goal difference. Lucky me!
Jamie French The first half of my game was awful. I think I was on 27 after 10 rounds. Kept getting 25 and a high target on my picks.
Andrew Feist <losing horns>
Chris Butler Looks like you're safe Jamie, great recovery, must've had a good half time team talk :)
Jamie French Yes, I had noticed Marcus had replaced me in the danger zone. I hope bullet is against Prune!
Matthew Tassier Exciting round! Sadly Prune has played his part and will not reappear.
Jamie French Haha, I didn't think he would
Chris Butler I'm just hoping that wherever Prune has gone into hiding he's taken Mr Spoilage with him!
Gevin Chapwell I agree. If we get spoilage, I'm in serious trouble.
Thomas Carey So is everyone, don't worry.
Jon Stitcher I can't wait for spoilage but I suspect it'll be the final round and I'll be out when hyper nasty comes along.
Chris Butler Have all the rounds been pre-determined Matthew or are you playing it by ear? You don't have to answer that. I know it's early but I was wondering how the structure will change when it gets to the final few, ie when say 4 players remain will it change to one weakest link, obviously this must happen for the final 2
Matthew Tassier Bot/variant combinations were randomly assigned before the start. I have an order decided but that's open to minor tinkering. I'm thinking it's going to remain 2 eliminated per round until the penultimate round when only one will leave to give a three player final round.
Thomas Carey The final could be 2 people doing a (numbers attack/sudden death nums) in some variant

Matthew Tassier It's a good option Thomas, but think I'm sticking with the 3-way final as above.
Steve Balog mmmmmm whatcha saaaaay
Matthew Tassier I'd say they were some difficult 4Ls and to get a 182-max game against Rex is unlucky. And that that is the beauty of the Weakest Link, no-one is safe.
Matthew Tassier Really tough round there, so well done to Callum who for the third time is the Strongest Link.
Matthew Tassier And we're starting to lose some really strong players now. Steve and Sean D you are the Weakest Links, GOODBYE! |
Notes from the organizer: Round fourteen will be a Speed Numbers Attack against Apterous Rex. This means you will have just 10 seconds per round and Rex will pick 4 large and max every round. It's getting tricky!
The two lowest scoring players in this round will leave the tournament. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
Well done on making it into the final 20!
