Chris Butler

Chris Butler This shall be interesting. I think 6S isn't the worst to be doing in omelette, since it's not 'that' common to be able to solve in 5 or less (think Octorock 5S), so a large chunk of solutions will naturally use all 6 anyway. What I do think is tough is deciding whether to settle on declaring 1 way or trying to fudge the precise answer. 7 points on such rounds I would gladly take, but the unpredictability of whether Plum will better you is where the 'fun' lies!

Good luck to all!

Zarte Siempre

Zarte Siempre This is the first time since maxing games really early on that I feel there's 0 chance of me going out on a round.

Watch this be famous last words.

Chris Butler

Chris Butler I will eat apterous if you go out this round Zarte. As for me, I'm pretty scared!

I got 197 raw in practise round which made me over-confident. Stupid typo in R1, I had 115, 4, 1 to make 345 and absent-mindedly added the 1 & 4! It threw me off my game but fingers crossed I recovered well enough to scrape though...

Thomas Carey

Thomas Carey Show of hands - who does practice runs? I haven't bothered so far - might do if I survive this one though

Zarte Siempre

Zarte Siempre I don't.

Tom Cappleman

Tom Cappleman Haven't bothered so far.

Gevin Chapwell

Gevin Chapwell I did on some rounds (when I was in the tournament obviously).

Thomas Carey

Thomas Carey yeah that's me out. Din't score at all in the last 4 rounds ffs

Gevin Chapwell

Gevin Chapwell I just got 159 playing along at home. Got better rounds than when I went out, but didn't play that well.

That's right. I'm playing along at home. Get used to it.

Chris Butler

Chris Butler Nice one Gevin, why the heck not!

I've actually noticed someone else playing along at home. Someone whose score would put his name at the top of this table were he a contestant...

Mervyn Tong

Mervyn Tong Scraped through...

Thomas Carey

Thomas Carey It's been fun, everyone.

Adam Dexter

Adam Dexter Cheeky little 152 playing along at home

Anthony Endsor

Anthony Endsor

Anthony Endsor Thanks for running this tournament Matthew. It's been great taking part in it. I didn't expect to get this far to be honest, and I would definitely take part in a similar tournament in the future. Good luck to all who remain. Byeeee...

Cake Tiger

Cake Tiger I have been "playing along at home" since about round 3 :)

Matthew Tassier

Matthew Tassier Just playtesting, Chris ;)
Probably easier without the pressure.

Matthew Tassier

Matthew Tassier Well played to the 6 players moving on, particularly Strongest Link Zarte for an impressive return to top form.

Matthew Tassier

Matthew Tassier Great performance getting this far Anthony, and unlucky on that late slump this round Thomas. But, Thomas Carey and Anthony you are the Weakest Links. GOODBYE!

Tourney round: Weakest Link Numbers Tournament: Round 20 - Omelette

<< Round 19 - Bullet | Round 21 - Bullet Hyper >>

Notes from the organizer: Round twenty (wow!) will be played in Omelette format against Apterous Plum. Make sure you use all 6 numbers in your solution. Plum will choose 6 small numbers and tend to erratically either give a perfect solution or (more often) not declare at all.
The two lowest scoring players in this round will leave the tournament. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
Good luck!

Ran from: 11 – 15 March 2016. Format: Omelette Numbers Attack. Matches: One-off. Approved.
