Chris Butler Well I absolutely did not expect this turn of events! I do welcome it though :)
Gevin Chapwell I was thinking the same.
Chris Butler A Tassier quiz - More twists and turns than a Tarantino film
Gevin Chapwell Got 10 in a practice game earlier. Gonna smash this. (Would have been a bit more, but Plum decided to get closer when I wasn't spot on.)
Elliott Mellor "Your opponent Plum (who is supposedly apterous's 4th weakest bot) will be impossible to beat, and you'd be better off fudging every single round rather than trying to aim for anything else. He'll 'helpfully' pick 4 large but it wouldn't make a fig of difference if he chose 4 large or 6"
Matthew Tassier :)
| |
Elliott Mellor lmao come on 133 though
Matthew Tassier Admittedly that is unfortunate.
Elliott Mellor Against prune I'd probably have had over 100, but that's the brutality of WL:)
Chris Butler Well there is strong case against practise rounds, I got 65 in that. Oh well, I don't deserve to go through here, that was cack :)

Gevin Chapwell I should have got a few more but messed up some opportunities in the early rounds.
Ian Birdman Errrr... yeah that was not fun. Actually scored a few points in practise. To be fair 3 or 4 or them were gettable. 16 of them however however id have more chance of picking up a matchstick with my arse cheeks...
Chris Butler Unlucky Ian and thanks for the lifeline that I really didn't deserve!
Ian Birdman No worries Chris - my present to everyone left in :-)
Herbert Plank I can't pretend that I'm disappointed to have missed out on this nonsense! |
Notes from the organizer: Time for a nasty shock. Rather than being saved for the last round, Spoilage makes a surprisingly early appearance this year. You'll need high speed accurate arithmetic and intense focus alongside nuanced time-management and decision-making skills. Yes, it's the most fun you can have on apterous. Your opponent Plum will be very difficult to beat, maxing quite a few rounds while totally missing some others. He'll helpfully pick 4 large numbers, but unhelpfully rob you of some hard earned points.
The TWO lowest scoring players in this round will leave the tournament. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
Enjoy!
