Chris Butler Quite strange how Waldorf easily maxed the standard Hyper variant, but is quite dire at this!
Matthew Tassier Yes, the 45 seconds in standard Hyper appears to make it super-easy for the bots.
Edward Ashcroft A bit like me! Maxed the last hyper one and was pretty dire in this round. Although I did have some tough selections and the two times I went for 2/3 away Waldorf suddenly came up with a max!
Andy SC Looking at my score of 92, I think I will probably be gone this round. What has been scores in previous editions that has meant people being eliminated?
Chris Butler 2018: 100 & 100 eliminated, 120 lowest qualifying score
| |
Andy SC Cheers, Chris. Will just have to hope.

Neil Collins hold my beer!
Neil Collins for the record, the game froze after my failed r12 solve. i waited a couple of minutes but no joy - tried to note in chat that i'd had the crash so it's on record for anyone who was in at the time
Jon Elmer must be something about round 12 as i'm sitting here after being kicked out for a second time... on both occasions i'd declared but not submitted an answer.
Jon Elmer make that three times. i'll try once more then go to bed.
Matthew Tassier Thanks guys. The current flakiness is frustrating. I think all we can do is accept what apterous accepts in these cases, for the reasons that Gev pointed out in another round. Obviously goes without saying that honest play is as always expected of all competitors. |
Notes from the organizer: We're up to round ten already which will be the last of the "lock" formats, played in Hyperlock against Apterous Waldorf. Waldorf will pick 1 large number, and will be quite confused by the whole thing.
The two lowest scoring players in this round will leave the tournament. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
Have fun!
