Chris Butler You're not wrong! Just tried a few practice games (on the off chance that I qualify for this), one of them had 8 impossible rounds of the 10 rounds that Plum picked!
Keith C Williams indeed – max in my game here was 113 (although I didn't help myself by bungling a few)
Gevin Chapwell Well, I think I was lucky with my game so sorry about that!
Keith C Williams It happens! Now I’ll just sit back for a few weeks and wait to see if I sneak through
Jamie French Haha, my brain seemed incapable multiplying by 40 there. Terrible effort. |
Notes from the organizer: For round 19 it's time to take on a challenge in Octolock format. We've got 13 players left and it's definitely going to be unlucky for some. With larges of 20, 30, 40 and 50 and only 5 numbers to work with, it can often be tricky to get anywhere near your target in this variant, and furthermore your opponent here will be Plum who will, at least initially, choose the often impossible 5 small option and will unpredictably miss some easy ones and spot some nasty ones. With the maxes of the games likely to vary wildly this is potentially the unfairest round of the lot. That's why I love it.
The TWO lowest scoring players in this round will exit the tournament. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be the deciding factor amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
Good luck!
