Bradley Horrocks

Bradley Horrocks Good luck Elliott and Tom!

Elliott Mellor

Elliott Mellor You too! :)

Elliott Mellor

Elliott Mellor Wow. Thanks Caesar.

Elliott Mellor

Elliott Mellor Congrats on winning again Bra :)

Matthew Tassier

Matthew Tassier Congratulations to Bradley, you are 2019's Strongest Link and the first ever two time champion of WL Numbers! With all 3 finalists ending up beating the cumulative points record that Bradley set last year, the competition was really tough this time round. Really unlucky Elliott, looked like you were cruising until Caesar's awesome/brutal finish. And credit to Tom, great tournament storming through the last couple of rounds before being unable to quite get it going here. Three great finalists. GOODBYE! *disturbing wink*

Elliott Mellor Caesar's a total jerk. Moral victory for me on raw score :p

Bradley Horrocks Really bad luck Ell, make sure you're back in next year - you'll have a great chance again!

Tourney round: Weakest Link Numbers Tournament 2019: Round 24 - Spoilage

<< Round 23 - Hyper Nasty

Notes from the organizer: At long last we have arrived at the twenty-fourth and final round which will be played this year in Spoilage format against Apterous Caesar. You'll need high speed accurate arithmetic and intense focus alongside nuanced time-management and decision-making skills. Yes, it's the most fun you can have on apterous. Your opponent Caesar will be tricky to beat, maxing quite a few rounds while totally missing some others. He'll helpfully pick 4 large numbers, but unhelpfully rob you of some hard earned points.

Let's check out the contenders:
Bradley Horrocks - Cumulative points 4118, 5 * Strongest Link, 5 max games, narrowest escape 10 points (R20), spoilage PB 116, 2018 champion.
Elliott Mellor - Cumulative points 4097, 4 * Strongest Link, 8 max games, narrowest escape 5 points (R18), spoilage PB 145, 2017 & 2018 4th place.
Thomas Cappleman - Cumulative points 3992, 3 * Strongest Link, 3 max games, narrowest escape 0 points (R20), spoilage PB 94, 2016 3rd place.

So, impressive stats all round for the three deserving finalists. Can Bradley retain his crown? Can Elliott make his superior Spoilage PB count? Can Tom sneak up and snatch the title from under their noses?
The highest scoring player in this round will be declared the 2019 champion. If there is a tie then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total cumulative score in the tournament (see notes by matches).
Good Luck to the final three!

Ran from: 9 – 16 April 2019. Format: Spoilage Numbers Attack. Matches: One-off. Approved.
