Chris Butler So when is the deadline for submitting our lists?
Matthew Tassier If you want your fixtures available from Monday then you should submit by early tomorrow evening, but with sign-ups open for another week the ultimate deadline will be next Sunday.
Matthew Tassier Fixtures are up to be played from tomorrow for all those who've applied and replied to my ranking aptomail. Hope you all like your array of fixtures.

Sam Cappleman-Lynes Hi Matthew,
| |
Matthew Tassier Hi! Games will stop after 20 rounds if the scores are level, tiebreaks won't be played, so that is a draw. The only exception, as you suspected, is Sudden Death where it will be played as normal and there will therefore be no draws in that format.

Matthew Tassier 80 games played already. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1s3BCnU44NzjyZWY0TagZEH2b6jDpnw40qvQWqfJXwgM/edit?usp=sharing But still two days left for anyone else who wants to sign up and join in the fun.
Matthew Tassier 60% of games have now been played, thank you to all those who've made an effort to get through their games! The competition for top 8 spots is hotting up : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1s3BCnU44NzjyZWY0TagZEH2b6jDpnw40qvQWqfJXwgM/edit?usp=sharing

Chris Butler Having trouble catching most of my remaining games online. I will soon begin contacting via aptomail and try to arrange them. Just wondering, will unplayed games just be recorded as 0 points each, or will you award wins to the person making most effort to play it?
Matthew Tassier The default will be 0 points each. If I'm included on an aptomail chat that shows one person making a lot of effort and the other not enabling the game to be played then I may award a walkover win.
Matthew Tassier Down to the semi finals now, details here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1s3BCnU44NzjyZWY0TagZEH2b6jDpnw40qvQWqfJXwgM/edit?usp=sharing for anyone wanting to follow progress. |
Notes from the organizer: Your Favourite Numbers Tourney is an all-play-all numbers extravaganza in which you get to play in a variety of your favourite numbers variants.
Each player will submit an ordered list of the available numbers formats to me by aptomail so that each pair of players can be assigned the format that is their combined favourite, that is that which has the lowest combined rank. If this is tied then the format which they gave the most similar ranking will take precedence, if there is still a tie then I shall favour the first of the two players to send me their list.
You will have roughly two months to play all your games and the scoring system will be 3 points for a win, 2 for a draw, 1 for a loss, 0 for an unplayed game. Any ties will be split by total points difference.
At the end of the round-robin the top 8 players will proceed to a seeded 8 player knock-out where they will play a best of 3 with one game in each of their 2nd, 3rd and 4th favourite combined formats.
The tournament organiser will be entering, anyone who wishes to see my pre-chosen ranked format list may request it once they have submitted their own list.
Sign-up will be open for two weeks with games being available to play from 11th May.
