Dave Robjohns Event 2 fixtures are up.

Dave Robjohns Please 'Nice' this if you think each fixture should be played twice for fairness
Dave Robjohns Please 'Nice' this if you think it's fine as it is, and it's luck of the draw whether you're P1 or P2 for each game
Matthew Tassier We've got enough fixtures, 4 home 4 away is pretty even already, and a bit of asymmetry is more fun.
Fiona T I agree - I think ideally you'd have half and half (I'm player 2 in all mine) but with so many games to play I think we roll with it.
Dave Robjohns I’m pretty confident it’s 4 of each so as even as I could make it without duplicating the games, the listing below just has newer account listed second so you must be the newest account in your group. Prune’s played 6 so far, 2 as P1 and 4 as P2 - if it works as intended Prune’s two remaining games are P1
Jack Worsley Player 1 also has the advantage of declaring second in every letters round. Despite this, I didn't notice a substantial home advantage when I ran my Champions League tournaments a few years ago. And the fact that everyone plays four at home and four away should even it out anyway. So personally, I'd be inclined to keep it the way it is, if that's what you're happy with.

Dave Robjohns It seems from the vote people are pretty much split down the middle. Looking in a bit more detail though, groups A & B seem in favour of playing twice (3-1 & 3-2) while C and D are not (1-2 & 0-3).

Sam Cappleman-Lynes Am I allowed to retract my vote after seeing my results? :)
Dave Robjohns Last 12 games are up, along with the draw for the rest. In all Last 12 games, the player coming second in their group goes first (and gets all picks). Similarly, in the QFs, the group winners get the privilege of picking.

Dave Robjohns Same is true in football (event 3), but I'll put them both in this notification! (Deadlines identical)
Dave Robjohns Nearly there now!

Notes from the organizer: The 2nd event of the Aptolympics sees us head outdoors to play hockey, so strap on your shin pads and grab a mouthcard as we have our first individual tournament of the games.
You'll be placed into groups of 6ish, and play the champions league format. A lucky few will reach the knockouts, and eventually we'll crown our medallists, winning 2 gold/silver/bronze.
This format was chosen as hockey is similar to football, and 11-a-side; this format features 11 rounds.
I'll add some prunes if necessary to make the numbers up.
You'll be able to see the standings here:
