Dave Robjohns All brackets drawn earlier using challonge, I'll be tracking results in the google doc only as it's less faff for all. Completely random draws with no seeding like the real thing. Bracket 3 particularly close, with just 114 rating points separating all 9 players.

Dave Robjohns This variant features 8 numbers rounds chosen by player 1, followed by a conundrum. Unlike the hockey round, where I could give you 4 P1 and 4 P2 games, can't really do that with knockouts, so all games here will be two legs, to give each player equal opportunity.

Sam Cappleman-Lynes What happens if the two legs have exactly opposite results? Came within a conundrum of happening with me and Marcus.
Dave Robjohns It'd be a third leg where each player chooses 4 rounds, either custom set up or done through chat
Dave Robjohns I've spotted a few instances of people only playing one game so far - as explained above, there are 2 fixtures on purpose, for fairness! A result is only taken after both are played
Dave Robjohns Thanks all for your efforts in getting this round done in time! Lots of medals to dish out!

Notes from the organizer: Event 4 of Aptolympics is Boxing. Another oddity of the Olympics, as professionals can't enter. Fortunately none of us are professional countdown players, so let's do some numberbashing!
The format was chosen because "bash" is in the title. I may've been scraping the barrel (as happens in 70+% of the events).
This is the first of the fighting events, where you'll be split into tiers by rating, and battle it out amongst similar abilities.
There will be 4 "weight" categories, each of which will see the most successful players win 3 golds, 3 silvers & 3 bronzes.
We have 4 weeks to complete this event, so each round will have a 1 week deadline - written in the notes next to each game.
