Dave Robjohns In the end, despite the heats, the 9 top scores made it through. Favourites for the final are Thomas, Jack and Bradley well clear of the field in the heats, but this is Berserk 9, and anyone's game, especially with it being the highest value tournament of the lot (11 medals).

Notes from the organizer: Here we are then, the 100m, arguably the most prestigious event of the Olympics. As a result, it's worth 11 medals, making in the most valuable to win out of the 66 events.
100m uses Berserk 9 as it's the quickest event of the lot. It's also pretty high variance, as there've been many instances of runners pulling up injured in races, disqualifications for false starts, and doping offences.
It'll work with two rounds. You'll be put into 4 heats, and play one Berserk 9 against Prune. The top two in each heat will qualify for the final, along with one lucky 3rd place finisher (most points).
Our 9 finalists will then get one more Berserk 9 against Prune, the top three receiving these 11 medals.
Heats deadline: 2nd August
Final deadline: 8th August [would be fun if we could arrange for some/all of these to happen at the same time!]
High stakes! The scores are here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19s4MNWHNXg5OFoU9sKFvzIcggZZ3--_YjqM1PDVd_DA/edit#gid=1906134363
Fun fact: 100m is the event contested by more countries than any other, and you get some pretty large gaps in the field in the heats. A Samoan shot-putter (a baker by trade) nicknamed "Trevor the tortoise" and weighing 21 stone ran in one games, in fairness managing a respectable 14.2s.
Ran from: 26 July – 8 August 2020. Format: Berserk 9. Matches: One-off. Approved.
Fixtures: 42. Completed: 41.
Key. Green: winner. Red: loser. Grey: tie. (Stripes: provisional, match in progress.)
