Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns We've reached the home straight now, and it's time for more wild event.

I've chatted about this one a bit with Sam (who actually knows about climbing...) and we've come up (well, mainly Sam) with a fun idea to add some more realism.

For event 60, you'll face 3 games (the others to be added shortly):
Lead climbing - aiming to climb the highest in a Beanstalk LA
Bouldering: Solving tough boulder problems in an Octorock CA
Speed climbing: Solving number problems quickly in a Speed NA.

For each discipline you'll be ranked from 1-31, and then these ranks are multiplied together, lowest rank wins.

Tourney round: Aptolympics 2020: Event 60: Sport Climbing

<< Event 59: Tennis | Event 60b: Sport Climbing >>

Notes from the organizer: Sport Climbing is the final sport making it's debut in 2020. It's worth just two medals, as they combine speed, lead and bouldering into one allround event. This round is another Beanstalk, in a reference to Jack and the Beanstalk. Unfortunately "goldengoose" is invalid, so if you do find one up there, best not to bring it back.

Fun fact: The world record for speed climbing is 15m in an electric 5.48 seconds.
