Dave Robjohns Those outside the top 10 - if you want to play in the final round too just nice this comment :)
Fiona T Shame here that you get 2 cracks at your 4L/6S if you're player 2, but only one as player 1 :(
Dave Robjohns Ah good point! I intended to set them all up the same way but we’ve had one of each so far... I’ll wait until more data is in and redo games that don’t fit the majority for fairness
Dave Robjohns Seems most players are P1, so apologies Tom, your game won't count (and anyone else that ends up P2).
Tom Cappleman There go the 3 bonus points :(
Elizabeth Beer Seems a bit unfair to invalidate the first game when Thomas got the second numbers round correct (in fact both)
Fiona T aye - agreed - if he got both, then it should stand!
Dave Robjohns Yeah this is fair, and got the first conundrum he had a go at, and 5 maxes even if we propose he might've missed Prune's 1L selection. 3 points reinstated
Sam Cappleman-Lynes What happens with a draw? I was expecting a tiebreak, but no dice.

Tom Cappleman "Draws are enabled and will be counted as a win."
Dave Robjohns Yeah I wanted to entirely remove the possibility of games having 15 tiebreaks, so unless you lose a game, you move on up
Dave Robjohns We have our first two soap games, the most inconsistent bot of them all :D But dangerous, with 3 big maxes more or less guaranteed, unless you beat him to the conundrum
Dave Robjohns FINAL STANDINGS:
| |
Ronan M Higginson Thanks for hosting this great tourney Dave, really enjoyable <3. And massive congrats to T-Cap for winning |
Notes from the organizer: So here we are... the final round. As said, this is Berserk 9 and is worth 20 points. The catch here is that you'll only get one attempt at each bot, and work your way up the ladder one by one. One loss, and it's game over.
Initially the final was going to be all players within 20 of the lead... but that's a rather exclusive club of Capplemen. Instead, the top 10 have qualified, all of whom are within 20 of 3rd place.
So, our top 10:
1) Thomas Cappleman 89
2) Sam Cappleman-Lynes 85
3) Dave Robjohns 68
4) Chris Hare 66
5) Fiona T 64
6) Hazel Drury 62
7) Edward Ashcroft 60
8) Matthew Tassier 53
9) Elizabeth Beer 49
10) Andy SC 48
The 20 points are allocated as follows:
1 - Beat Prune
3 - Beat Nude
5 - Beat Waldorf
7 - Beat Plum
9 - Beat Caesar
10 - Beat Soap
12 - Beat Velvet
14 - Beat Prime
15 - Beat Rex
1 - Spot a 9
1 - Max a 6S/4L
1 - Get a conundrum
1 - 5 maxes in one game
1 - 7 maxes in one game
All of these bonuses obviously become easier the more games you win and hence play - worth trying the 6S/4L vs Prune as I suspect most people will be winning that round!
Draws are enabled and will be counted as a win.
The round is set to last 3 weeks. I'll be adding new games as frequently as I can, it is best to play games quickly to ensure you don't run out of time at the end!
Best of luck :)
