Dave Robjohns Mixing up how we do the latter stages in all of these team events... Handball will be one big group of 8, and similar to the group stage here it'll be each team split into 3 and playing everyone else in their groups.

Notes from the organizer: Handball is Event 9, and we are using the Masters format, for reasons I forget. Lots of quick reflexes needed in Handball and Masters alike with all those conundrums!
Here, as with hockey, the teams are divided into two groups of 7. Within these, the 3 players are put in a random order within their team, and all the P1s play each other, all the P2s, and all the P3s. Therefore each team effectively plays 18 games at this stage. These get converted into points, with the most successful 4 teams from each group qualifying.
Like with football, the groups are seeded by world rankings.
Fun fact: The IHF ranking page is terrible and I never want to look at it again. It's multi language (which is fine) but then there are nearly 500 teams listed and Germany are 1st, 16th, 19th, 26th, 39th, 52nd, 88th, 182nd, 254th, 304th and 378th.
It also takes a lot of sleuthing to find any GBR/UK/ENG/SCO/WAL team, with "British Handball Association" finally appearing in 327th. Jamaica don't seem to have a handball team, and I must admit I don't blame them from this impression :P
