Notes from the organizer: And we're into the quarter finals!
Thank you for all the players from the group stages, you have all done very well.
Some games were unplayed affecting QF qualification. Having spent a very long time wondering about how to proceed with this, I have eventually decided that since it was not an open-and-shut case of inactivity, and I cannot find sufficient evidence to suggest one person made significantly more of an effort over the other, I have opted not to have byes or autowins or anything like that, and the tables will remain as they are.
So... your quarter finalists are:
Pot 1 (group winners):
A Tom Cappleman
B Dave Robjohns
C Adam Latchford
D Martin Thomas
Pot 2 (group runners-up):
A Florence C-L
B Stu Harkness
C Fiona T
D Dave Kempshal
A pot 1 player will be randomly drawn against a pot 2 player for the quarter finals.
Two weeks ought to do it, so **WEDNESDAY 25 AUGUST** is your deadline. In the event of the game not being played, both players will be eliminated (unless I have unequivocal evidence that one person made significantly more of an effort to play it than the other).
