Matthew Tassier After this round max games will be hard to come by, but 23 people took the chance here to notch one up including Thomas, the new top cumulative points scorer, and Sam S. who was the Strongest Link for the first time.
Matthew Tassier With John D. defeated by distractions and one player absent, Neil and Wesley survive by just 3 points thanks to Plum denying Bernard points in the last 3 rounds. So Bernard, John and Martyn you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye!
John Doherty Cheers Matthew, great tournament - no excuses for that terrible performance btw, just had one of those days and made a balls of it! Good luck to everyone still involved :-) |
Notes from the organizer: Round seven is the final junior format round this year, being played in Lockdown Junior format against Apterous Plum. For Lockdown don't forget to always include the red number in your calculations, whether directly or in a dead end, before you reach the target. Plum, of course, likes to choose 5 small numbers which will increase the chance of unachievable targets appearing.
Some stats for this round:
Expected competitors : 67
Weakest Links required : 3
Most Lockdown Junior points scored : 988 - Gevin Chapwell
Highest average score : 200 - 10 players including Martin Hurst (3 games)
Highest scoring Weakest Link : 180 - Thomas Carey & Steve Anderson (2018)
For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.
THREE lowest scoring Weakest Links will be removed from the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
