Adam Dexter Random question but just noticed the cumulative scores are sequential apart from Chris at the end - just curious as to the anomaly
Fiona T Cos Chris qualified for this round after the original games were added

Michael Oldham Almost lost to a couple misclicks, scraped through again... not gonna last much longer...
Matthew Tassier There had only been one previous Duckdown WL max game, but we had two this year, both from WL champions - Elliott and Strongest Link Thomas.
Matthew Tassier Despite being one of Velvet's two victims here, Michael does scrape through with Neil and Patrick on 140. Meanwhile among those finishing just short of safety, Jonny falls in his nemesis Duckdown round for the 3rd year in a row. Dan, Jonny, Carlo and Ben you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye!
Jonny D Cheers Matthew, I have enjoyed this tournament immensely. Good luck to all those still involved!
Carlo Harrison Thanks, me too - what a fun format for a tourney. Hope I can last longer next time. GL everyone else for the rest of it :) |
Notes from the organizer: Coming into round fourteen we've already lost more than half of the original players and the top 40 who remain will play a Duckdown game against Apterous Velvet. In Duckdown possible targets are 101-1999 and you get 7 numbers to use rather than 6 but you must "duck" (not use) one of them. Velvet will pick the possibly simplest 2 large option, and probably solve quite a lot of rounds.
Some stats for this round:
Expected competitors : 40
Weakest Links required : 4
Most Duckdown Strongest Links : 2 - Tom Cappleman
Most Duckdown Weakest Links : 2 - Johnny Canuck & Jonny D
Highest scoring Duckdown Weakest Link : 160 - Tom Cappleman (2020)
For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.
FOUR lowest scoring Weakest Links will be removed from the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
