Martin Long Personally, I prefer 2L for Nasty numbers. I recommend people trying both 1L and 2L before deciding on their selection for this competition.
Sam Cappleman-Lynes Heads up to Matthew that you’ve given Plum’s score to Martin in the spreadsheet - Martin actually scored 190 and should be through already.
Matthew Tassier Cheers, Sam. Martin has had some ongoing mid-game connection issues so regrettably I've had to apply a penalty to his score this round, therefore the score in the spreadsheet stands.
Eoin Jackson Ooh, controversial...
Martin Long I don't see anything controversial about it. Matthew made the rules abundantly clear at the start of the tournament. It's a strict interpretation of the rules as disconnections weren't my fault. But no biggie, we move on.
Eoin Jackson You're allowed have that opinion... in mine, it's controversial, as it is a ruling that assumes foul play on your part... and if there was none, the 190 should stand.
Matthew Tassier No, it doesn't assume foul play, but it represents a departure from the tournament rules. Such a departure could happen for a number of reasons, innocent and nefarious, as illustrated by your difference of opinion above. I have to be strict to guard against foul play in the future. Deliberate foul play would result in expulsion from the tournament.
Eoin Jackson Well, if someone was refreshing so as to ditch a tricky round, they would hardly admit it, I suppose... and there would be no way to prove it, so what you do is probably the best possible solution.

Matthew Tassier An impressive 2 max games here, as the 2 top cumulative points scorers this year flex their numerical muscles. Well played Elliott and Strongest Link Sam C-L.

Matthew Tassier Martin is unfortunate to be pipped by Florence on points difference, coming up against Plum's strongest game. There are more strong players leaving too, with two-time champ Bradley and now six-time top 20 finisher Jamie, whilst Brendan claims his best position yet. So, Martin, Bradley, Brendan and Jamie you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye!
Bradley Horrocks Thanks Matthew for running once again, best of luck to those who are left!
Brendan Whitehurst Thanks for running it Matthew. Had a great time. :)
Martin Long Thanks Matthew for organising. Good luck to everyone remaining. :-)
Eoin Jackson .

Notes from the organizer: We're now down to the top 16 players in this year's tournament. For them, Round 20 will be a Nasty Numbers Attack against Apterous Plum. Large numbers are changed to 12, 37, 62 and 87 and with 6 small not an option Plum will stick with 1 large number, although when this large is the 12 it'll feel like you're playing 6 small.
Some stats for this round:
Expected competitors : 16
Weakest Links required : 4
Most Nasty WL points scored : 827 - Chris Butler
Previous rounds v this bot : 2020 Round 21 ( https://www.apterous.org/to_tourney.php?tourney=3138 )
Highest scoring Nasty Weakest Link : 161 - Chris Butler (2020)
For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.
FOUR lowest scoring Weakest Links will be removed from the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).

Good luck!
