Bailey Cowell I need adding to this game :-)
Tal Lessner You will be. You just played the previous round this morning. Can't expect Matthew to be here all the time to update.
Matthew Tassier With the powers invested in me I hereby declare that Bailey Cowell has officially acceded to Round 4.
Bailey Cowell Ah I se, we have to play the previous one before being added to the next. Thanks :-)
Matthew Tassier Just the two max games this round with Brendan hitting his first ever normal NA max game and Sam securing the Strongest Link title with his 200. Now no-one is on the max possible score, and Gevin has grabbed the top cumulative scorer spot.
Matthew Tassier John D has the unfortunate honour of setting a new record for highest scoring Normal Weakest Link, while Jake is the lucky recipient of a narrow escape thanks to Tlou's sneaky late entry into the tournament. So, John, Steven and Tlou you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye!
Eoin Jackson Don't get why Sam's the strongest link...
| |
Gevin Chapwell I wondered about that in a previous round.
Gevin Chapwell In round 2 (Nice) quite a few people won 200-0.
Eoin Jackson Ok... I *think* I've worked it out. Sam was indeed the quicker of the two to punch in a max here, which is most likely why he was awarded SL.
| |
Chris Butler I have a feeling that if scores are equal then Matthew just randomly picks one, without good reason, which echoes the spirit of WL. Could be wrong though, but this rings a bell from previous seasons
Eoin Jackson On the real WL, wasn't SL always determined by actual criteria though?

Dan Spinks Tass's response previously 'In common with the show I use an arbitrary unpublished list of tiebreakers'
Eoin Jackson Yep... which I am trying to second guess. 😁
Dave Robjohns Yeah, the chronological thing looks very coincidental given there's 2 games to choose from here and it's not the case in Rds 1-3
| |
Eoin Jackson Hmm. Well, if you wanna stand a chance, I'd recommend playing early all the same.
Eoin Jackson ...ESPECIALLY if the round is vs Prune or Rex. |
Notes from the organizer: Round four keeps it simple, being the most familiar challenge, played in Normal format against Apterous Prune.
