Eoin Jackson This is the first round where -according to the "tournament total score so far" metric - I should be a weakest link. Also It is a Speed round (my least fave, and the one that killed me last year).
| |
Martin Long Best of luck Eoin. My 137 is definitely beatable for you. :-)

Matthew Tassier Great score from George to be the Strongest Link this round, though he may have been disappointed at just missing out on achieving the second ever WL speed max game. "I spaffed it" was his reported response.
Matthew Tassier Martin's 137 turned out to be just enough in a round where no-one scored under 130. Elizabeth, Darren and Dan S. all sneak into the top 30 finishers for the first time whilst Neil has a similar position to the last few years. So Neil, Elizabeth, Darren and Dan you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye!
Neil Collins Thanks Matt. Serves me right for trying to get spot on instead of declaring an easier within 5 in the early rounds before my brain got into gear. As usual, half-fluked through the last couple anyway. Good luck to everyone still left in.
Elizabeth Beer I was flying along… one badly judged game, meh… I will be back doubly determined next time. Thanks for organising, Matthew
Dan Spinks gutted to go out, love this tourney. many thanks for running it Matt |
Notes from the organizer: The top 30 players this year must pick up the pace once more as round fifteen will be a Speed Numbers Attack against Apterous Prime. Prime is surprisingly inconsistent here in the sharp 10 second rounds and picks the ticklish 3 large numbers.

Expected competitors: 30
Weakest Links required: 4
Most WL Speed max games: 1 - Chris Butler
Highest average WL Speed score (3+ games): Elliott Mellor 183 (5 games)

For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.
FOUR lowest scoring Weakest Links will be removed from the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
