Wesley Barton For when the time is exactly the same, do both words count or just one of them?
Chris Hare Because I said 'strictly increasing', it'll be just one of them.
Dave Robjohns I'm learning my grasp of the alphabet is surprisingly poor! In a panicked fluster thought F was before D, and the second half of the alphabet is requiring a lot of thought each time :D
Dave Robjohns Posted about putting F before D and then did it again literally 2 rounds later

Maria Chandler I don't know why and I didn't do that well but I really enjoyed this round. Great challenge :)
Dave Kempshall Yeah, loved that (if I got the rules correct). Devilishly close to a very good score, but dropped Overtness into the wrong slot by less than a second :(
Andres S. Think I understood the rules correctly too for the Bonus Tourney Point
Adam Finlay silly me - thinking trawlable was more plausible than WATERBALL cost me the bonus point ;'(
Fi Thorne Great fun! :-) |
Notes from the organizer: I'm making a list, and checking it twice. And then three more times, cross-referencing it with other lists and putting all the results in a spreadsheet.
Game Four is a Nice Conundrum Attack. Your task is to solve the conundrums in such a way that, sorting the solutions alphabetically, the times taken to solve them are strictly increasing. Times will be taken as whatever the game summary says happened. The winner is the player who solves the most conundrums in this way. Conundrums that you don't solve won't count. If, when your solved conundrum solutions are sorted alphabetically, some are out of time order, I'll remove the smallest number of conundrums I can to leave an alphabetical-and-time-ordered list; your score will be however many conundrums are left in that list. In the event of a tie, the player with the smaller (or smallest) time range will win.
The BONUS TOURNAMENT POINT will be awarded to any player who does not incorrectly solve any conundrum (so either solves correctly or does not buzz in at all).
