Adam Dexter I'm not a fan of the old 4L, Mr Rex :(
Chris Butler I find it weird that Rex doesn't pick 6L. I thought his thing was to always pick the maximum number of larges available

Tal Lessner Rex should make it hard for the contestants, and we all know 6L is the easiest hyper selection.
Chris Butler Agreed Tal, but there are other formats where 'maximum large' is easiest (for some) where Rex still picks 'maximum large' (eg Duckdown, Octolock). Just noticed he picks all small in Octorock though.
Matthew Tassier Well done this round, matching Rex for a max game, to Bradley and this rounds Strongest Link (and new cumulative points leader) Elliott.
Matthew Tassier Another narrow escape for Thomas here as he was the last of the 5 130-scorers to be saved when Conor failed to play his game in time. Steven and Neil join the highest scoring Hyper WLs and were also both just one solve short of safety. So, Steven, Neil and Conor you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye! |
Notes from the organizer: We've reached the halfway point in this year's adventure and the reward for getting this far is the first meeting this year with Rex in a Hyper format game. Hyper has a more generous 45 second round limit, which will hopefully give you a good chance to take on Rex's favourite 4 large selection. You'll obviously only score if you can max rounds here.
Some stats for this round:
Expected competitors: 36
Weakest Links required: 3
Previous WL Hyper max games: 5
Most Hyper points scored: 1251 - Tom Cappleman
Highest average score (3+ games): 179.5 - Elliott Mellor (6 games)
Highest scoring Weakest Links: 120 - Dave Kempshall & Arthur P (2022)
For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.
The THREE lowest scoring players will leave the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches below).
