Notes from the organizer: The Beat Your Bot series is back this Christmas! It returns for a fourth time in a much simplified format, for your benefit and for mine (30* calculations based on tricky rules over Christmas anyone?!). However, there will still be plenty of scope for tactical play.
In round 1/6, everyone will play a 9 rounder against the lowest ranked bot that is rated higher than them (at time of publishing). Sorry 2200+ people, that means Rex! Then, inspired by season 1 champ MSR's ticket: https://www.apterous.org/ticket_view.php?ticket=6811
If you win, the next round you go up 1 bot if you've scored 60 or less, and up 2 bots if you've scored more than 60.
If you lose, the next round you go down 1 bot if you've scored 30 or more, and down 2 bots if you've scored less than 30. Continue until round 6 (where there may be a twist).
Players will be ranked by wins, then points, just like co-events. There will be a strict 2 day window for each round - there will be a points penalty for playing after the window closes.
