Fi Thorne Hi Dave, will it be mainly against robots?
Dave Robjohns Mostly yep! There will be a few events against people but only one where you’ll have more than one opponent at a time and I’ll give a whole month for that round. Also gave the option last time of only signing up for bot events.

Mike Lee This tourney only happens every 4 years and I joined Apto just before the last one. It’s the best tourney for variety and fun and Dave’s imagination to theme events around Apto variants is amazing.

Fi Thorne You've sold it to me Mike! :-)
Dan Spinks I was just thinking that it couldn't possibly be 4 years since the mighty China last competed in this then realised that the 2020 olympics were in 2021. what a weird world we used to live in

Dave Robjohns Have started a few events early as I realised the previous times I ran this I was an unemployed student in summer and barely allowed to leave the house (covid times). So will be a chunk of pre-scheduling if I can!

Dan Spinks I hope Ben has been suitably briefed about the China-Jamaica rivalry |
Notes from the organizer: Aptolympics is back for a third edition! This time we're off to Paris (& Tahiti), where the 33rd edition of the world's largest sports event will be taking place in July & August, with equal numbers of male and female athletes for the first time competing across 329 events.
Aptolympics will as ever feature every one of those sports (with 2 bonus paralympic sports!), with 100 imaginary shiny gold medals up for grabs this time round, with opportunities across all variants.
Over two editions we've seen 90 players now battle it out over 150 events with team France, led by Tom Cappleman's 14 individual golds, coming out on top in 2021.
2024 will feature 4 sports split into rating categories and at least 8 where players can choose which format/variant to enter, giving everyone plenty of chances to challenge for medals and play tactically. I also intend to run 7 of the events "live", so look out for those! Will definitely be something for everyone and plenty of team play.
The tournament will run for 7 weeks from 23rd June, culminating on 11th August in parallel with the Olympics.
The obligatory massive spreadsheet is currently being finalised... I'll aim to publish that at some point in the next week.
Please feel free to wing me any questions & whack your sign-ups in here!
