Notes from the organizer: So, we move onto the final tournament of the season. The Tour Championship.

Only 25 of you have qualified for this based on your world ranking position. It’s played over just 18 holes and there is a starting score handicap. The catch is, I’m reversing the real-life handicap system to give lower ranked players the advantage, but also to challenge our serial finalists to overhaul a deficit.

Starting scores are as follows:

Colin Thompson, Sean D & Adrian Fletcher = -9
Ben H, Dave Kempshall & Ian Volante = -8
Wesley Barton, Luke S, Andres S = -7
Martin Hurst, Fiona T & Thomas Carey = -6
Martin Thomas & Liam O = -5
Chris Hare & Matthew Tassier = -4
Stu Harkness & Mike Lee = -3
Florence C-L & Adam Latchford = -2
Dan Byrom & Dave Robjohns = -1
Tom Cappleman = 0

The tournament is played over just one round (18 holes) and the format is a Hyper Letters Attack versus Prune. Scoring is as follows:

12 - Condor
11 - Albatross
10 - Eagle
9 - Birdie
8 - Par
7 - Bogey
6 - Double Bogey
5 - Triple Bogey
4 or worse - Quadruple Bogey

R19 and 20 will act as playoff holes.

As a consequence to the reverse shift in scoring, The Tour Championship exists only for bragging rights and glory and no ranking points will be available.

I’ll be interested to see if I’ve managed to balance out the scoring or the handicap gives a particular advantage to the higher / lower ranked players. We’ll see.
