Notes from the organizer: Hello!
New tournament time. Here's how it will work. It's a large variation on the basketball game HORSE. The aim is to gain the least amount of letters in the word COUNTDOWN.
Each player chooses 3 variants that they wish to play. They must be on this leaderboard https://www.apterous.org/statland.php?section=highscores and no foreign languages are allowed (nor are mocktoruns)
Each player will play all 3 of their variants against Apterous Caesar.
5 players that are in the tournament will also play these same 3 games but against Apterous Plum.
Every "real" player who beats your score will give you a letter in the word COUNTDOWN. If a "real" player matches your score then you will gain two letters from the word COUNTDOWN. If you receive 9 letters, you have lost and are out of the running to win the tournament. The aim is to receive the least amount of letters possible.
If two players have the same amount of letters left over at the end of the tournament (and are in the lead), then they play each other in 3 variants that neither player chose, at random, and whoever wins 2 games will win overall. If there are more than 2 players on the same amount of letters then everyone will play against Apterous Caesar - highest score taking the round. Any tie breaks past that point - well we can cross that bridge when we come to it.
Any questions feel free to ask on this page! Sign ups will open once the tournament is approve
