Chris Butler Does nobody fancy putting in a low round here? I was actually pretty happy with my score. Of the 4 rounds I failed to score in, only 2 were even possible, so if I am eliminated here, I won't be beating myself up too much, but I'd much prefer to progress, so come on, do your bit..... :)
Tal Lessner Previous highest scoring weakest link was 150 pts. So far with 13/23 played and everybody beat that.
Chris Butler Yeah, if I do go out (and let's be honest, it's incredibly likely now), it will be more to do with the incredibly high level of competition this year
Tim Down The standard in this round is seriously impressive.
Adam Latchford I got very lucky with my selection, i had many many easy selections including some I could type in the box and end round early on (which just shouldn't be a thing in bullet)
Gevin Chapwell I was reasonably happy with my game at the time. Lost 3 points by declaring off the target and instantly regretting it but I was happy with the rest of it.

Mark O'Regan Saved you Chris!

Chris Butler Thanks Mark! But seriously, it is a superb overall standard, and I'm sorry for the ones departing here (just relieved it's not me this time!)
Alex Williamson I rode my luck for as long as I could but it finally caught up with me! I must have been (if not close to) to lowest tournament score entering round 17!
| |
Matthew Tassier Adam and Dan led the way this high-scoring round with 19 out of 20 max rounds and it was Dan who was the Strongest Link, turning around a couple of previous bad experiences of WL Bullet rounds.
Matthew Tassier Mark falls short of the incredible standard here, but can be pleased with his best tournament yet, while Matthew was one solve away from safety and Alex matched the highest scoring bullet WL losing out to Jamie on tournament points. So, Alex, Matthew and Mark you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye! |
Notes from the organizer: Speeding on, it's time now for round seventeen which will be a Bullet Numbers Attack against Apterous Caesar. Caesar's selection of choice is two large, and in bullet he will put very few points on the board. With 3 seconds per round, there's just enough time for a well judged delaration away from the exact target if you are efficiently using the CTRL shortcuts.
Some stats for this round:
Expected competitors: 23
Weakest Links required: 3
Highest score: 200 - Chris Hare, Tom Cappleman, Elliott Mellor, Zarte Siempre
Highest average score (3+ games): 177.28 - Elliott Mellor (7 games)

Previous rounds vs this bot: 2020 Round 16 ( https://www.apterous.org/to_tourney.php?tourney=3085 )
For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.
THREE lowest scoring Weakest Links will be leaving the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
