Gevin Chapwell I did a practice and got 140 with a couple of misclicks so thought I might at least get a half reasonable score, but the wheels completely came off! Anyway, top 10 is top 10!
Adam Latchford I've learnt that calling an early exit in here is the equivalent of using your "one time" in poker. Therefore thanks for running a great tournament Tass!
Matthew Tassier Only the 20th round of his game came between this round's Strongest Link Dave and the first ever Hypernasty max game in Weakest Link Numbers. Dave is now threatening Tom's lead in tournament points that he's held since Round 10.
Matthew Tassier This year's 10th place finisher is George "That was a whoopsie" Armstrong getting his second top 10 finish. In 9th, losing his wheels but returning to the top 10 after 3 years away it's Gevin who suffers his 3rd Hypernasty exit. And, missing out on the lucky escape here, last year's finalist Adam finishes in 8th position. So, George, Gev and Adam you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye! |
Notes from the organizer: Congratulations to the top 10 players this year for making it to round twenty-one where they will take on Apterous Nude in a Hyper Nasty format game. The large numbers range from the useless to the unwieldy, providing a real test of calculation and focus. Nude will choose just 1 large number but will probably not solve many rounds.
Some stats for this round:
Expected competitors: 10
Weakest Links required: 3
Historic average Hypernasty WL score: 141.30
Highest Hypernasty WL score: 190 - Elliott Mellor (2020,2023), Adam Latchford (2022)
Highest average score (this year's entrants): 172 - Adam Latchford (2 games)
Highest scoring Weakest Link: 150 - Rahul Suresh (2018)
For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.
The THREE lowest scoring players will leave the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches below).
