Matthew Brockwell

Matthew Brockwell How is using numbers that don't contribute to the solution scored in each of these?

Andy SC

Andy SC @Matthew - For each option I'm just going based on whatever shows up when you hover over each round in the game recap.

Option 1 would just be how many steps appears when you hover over the number. Numbers that don't contribute to the solution would be counted as a step if they appear

Option 2: Again any step that appears will be marked accordingly to the scoring system.

Option 3: any step that results in the sum going 1,000+ will be marked accordingly.

Tourney round: Advent Calendar 2024: Day 10: Instant Numbers Attack

<< Day 9: Numbers Attack | Day 11: Berserk 9 >>

Notes from the organizer: Day 10 is an Instant Numbers Attack

The three scoring options are:

Option 1: Fewest number of steps taken. A non scoring round will be classed as six steps. Ties will then be separated by your game score.

Option 2: Using division is worth 6-points, subtraction 4-points, addition 2-points, multlipication 1-point. Points in this option are added onto your game score.

Option 3: Rounds which you manage to go above 1,000 in the solution are worth 20-points
