Ian Volante After forgetting the format and screwing up round one, I know which option I'm rooting for.
Andres S. Of course this shit would be on Friday the 13th
Dan Southwell So under option 3 your score does or don’t end if you don’t comply!???
Fi Thorne I think the scoring only ends if stated in the rules so I assume it would carry on for option 3.
Adam Latchford i decided to go backwards only to have to spend half of each round redoing the alphabet in my head to make sure i didnt cock up. better be 2 after that!
Ben Bazzard Concentrating so much on reverse alphabetical order, didn't realise this was touchdown until rd.16
| |
Maria Chandler I really hope it's option 3 - I forgot my alphabet in round 3 hahah
Andy SC It's only Option 1 and 2 that the score ends due to non compliance.
Dave Kempshall Anything but Option 2 please.
David Holmes Have to hope for option 3 then
Matthew Brockwell Wonder if anyone will go with the strategy that guarantees 20 points?
Adam Latchford tbf my main strategy was to hit a qualifying for option 3 seven in round 1, so that if it is option 1 then i'll have 7 points to some peoples 6
Ravi Choudhary Very interesting, Adam.
Andy SC Option 2 was the scoring method for this round. Scores based on that method are as follows:
| |
Andy SC Top 5 after Day 13:
| |
Wesley Barton Wow what a devastating round
Ravi Choudhary Gambled for Option 1.
Andres S. Honestly thought my weird play would've been considered but I guess not
Wesley Barton I went for Option 3 throughout
Andy SC @Andres - You would have been fine for five rounds under option 1 but then then the invalid would have stopped your score right there.
Andres S. And for Option 2?
Dave Kempshall I think a lot of people used the same beginning letter, but a word that was later alphabetically on rounds for both Option 1 and 2 Andres, so not really weird play on your part.
Tom Cappleman For option 2 Andres you failed immediately on round 2. It's not the longest sequence from when you try going in reverse, it's just from round 1
Andres S. Ah okay | |
Ben Bazzard I completely misunderstood Option 2.
| |
Wesley Barton I think about 30% of my touchdown games it takes me one round to realise it's touchdown
Sarah Binns Dave K game wasn't in reverse alpha order
Tom Cappleman Oh, good spot Sarah. Can I have my win please Andy?
Show all comments | |
Andy SC Cheers, Sarah.
| |
Dave Kempshall Unglad tidings :(
Sarah Binns Sorry Dave | |
Dave Kempshall :) Surprised someone didn't notice until now. I'd lost track of what option was which.
Adam Latchford Can you dock Sarah 5 points for being a grass |
Notes from the organizer: Day 13 is a Touch Junior Letters Attack.
The three scoring options are:
Option 1: Declare all your words in alphabetical order once one word is out of order or you declare an invalid word your game ends
Option 2: Declare all your words in reverse alphabetical order. Once a word is out of order or you declare an invalid word your score ends.
Option 3: All your words must either start and end with a consonant or start and end with a vowel
