Notes from the organizer: I thought I’d pay tribute to my favourite way to try and hide my brain turning off mid-round by holding the first annual Fudgeathon! (“annual”, ha! watch this never happen again)

To “fudge”, as I understand it, is to pick a letter, or target number, right before the round timer ends, and then try to make the best of it in the fleeting moments you have post-round. Like saying “900, not written down”, except you haven’t made it up in your head either, and so you have to blindly throw the numbers together and hope to God you get there. You’ll be doing that here a lot.

There’ll be three wee tournaments, for letters, numbers and conundrums, running simultaneously. When you sign up, I’ll put you down for all three of them by default, but if you intended to be in (or out of) a specific one, kindly gies a shout pls :) If the numbers are good, we’ll have a little CoC at the end to decide the First Fudger.

The letter and con tourneys will be played by way of a Bullet L.A. and C.A. respectively — the three seconds should give you just enough time to type out half a word or so, but I might not give you that long forever… and numbers, meanwhile, already has this covered, thanks to the Instant N.A. — you have to show your working as soon as the numbers are picked, but it’s always possible to get 10 points. If you're not familiar with these variants, I'd play a few practice games if I were you.
