Instant is a variant designed to be fast.
Players do not pick the letters themselves, but rather the letters are selected at random and the round begins immediately. Other rules are as normal.
Once the number of larges has been selected, the working numbers and target are displayed at once and the players must begin to show their method immediately -- there is no time to plan! Players must shoot for an exact solution, which is always possible to achieve.
Players may as usual buzz in at any time, but the number of points for a correct solution decreases as the round goes on. Assuming 10 second rounds, players receive 10 points for a solution in the first second, 9 points for the second, and so on, down to 1 point for a last-second solve. (These numbers are scaled accordingly for longer rounds.)
