Charlie Reams Innis has been in 4 of the 7 double maxers. Nice.
Ivan Dunt I spent 20 minutes studying these games.
Matt Hamer Any interest from anyone (apart from me) in an extension of this page to double max games in other formats? Admittedly, in formats where there is no conundrum, they might be difficult to track down, as they'd all be classed as "Format+TB"...
Charlie Reams Now 5 of 8 for Innis.
Rhys Benjamin Kirk and Innis (1 April 2011) is not valid - it went to a TB as Kirk didn't get Round 5 and Innis didn't get the conundrum.
Adam Gillard Five in March 2011 and none since. I fancy there'll be some more now that James Nguyen is playing again.
Mark D Is there a way to sort this page by date so that we can see properly the explosion in the prevalence of these things?

Mark D Sweet. *clicks thumbs up*
Mark D 9 in 2010, 11 in 2011, 34 in 2012, but only 17 so far in 2013. Slacking!

Matt Hamer Mark: Is this not due to the change from old 15-rounder to new 15-rounder? This page looks like it only counts old 15-rounders, which are played much less frequently nowadays.
Mark D Good bloody point.
Charlie Reams Interestingly not a single double-max game in 2017. (Was that the year the huge new dictionary came out? Can't remember.)
Ray Wilding The large dictionary expansion came late January 2016. It took more than 2 1/2 years before there was another double max.
Charlie Reams Now that's a good fact. |

The double max game is the highest achievement in apterous lore. The two players involved must both score the maximum available points in every letters and numbers round, and then one must solve the conundrum. This table shows all the double max games in apterous history, in both Old and New 15-round formats.
