Notes from the organizer: We're through the medium rounds, so it's time to get nasty. The first of our hyper section will be a Hyper Nasty LA, probably the hardest of the hyper lot as the bots are very good (Hypertouch was also considered but can be slow and bots are weaker).
As ever, your standard points on the intermediary ladder are:
0 - Didn't play
1 - Beat Prune
2 - Beat Nude
3 - Beat Waldorf
4 - Beat Plum
5 - Beat Caesar
6 - Beat Velvet
7 - Beat Prime
And the bonuses:
Easy - Find a 9 (or longer)
Medium - Win your match with a 5s or less time constraint
Hard - Challenge the records (15+ maxes or 170+ raw points)
So for 10 points, you'll need to beat Prime, with a 9+, 5s time constraint, and 15+ maxes/170 points... not easy.
Why is this format hard?
Nobody has ever come that close to maxing it (17mx)
Why is finding a 9+ easy?
Look for -ing, and it'll often produce the goods
Why is 5s medium?
Hard to think fast on this scale
Why is challenging the records tough?
They're records for a reason...
