Gevin Chapwell I kept Plum down to 54. By Nick Hewer logic, I must have played really well.

Rhys Benjamin You be sure of it.
Bradley Horrocks Definitely agree with your analysis on the last round Tass, the standard seems to get better every year. 58 would've won the final last round but I'm a way off qualifying this time!

Matthew Tassier With Edward and Strongest link Elliott posting the two highest spoilage scores in WL numbers history (and Tom's 73 ranking 4th), this was a very impressive round from all 3 finalists.
Matthew Tassier 5th place goes to Gevin, maintaining his run of always making the top ten and setting his best position yet, but falling short of the final despite some great defensive play here. 4th place is two time champion Bradley, knocked out for the first time ever, and pretty unluckily with a score that would have topped the leaderboard the last time Plum was used on a spoilage round. So, Gevin and Bradley you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye!
Gevin Chapwell Thanks for organising Matthew - it's been a great tournament as always. I'm pretty pleased with 5th - it would have taken a miracle to get through spoilage for me!

Notes from the organizer: For the final 5 players in the penultimate round it's time for the big challenge that is a game in Spoilage format. You'll need high speed accurate arithmetic and intense focus alongside nuanced time-management and decision-making skills. Yes, it's the most fun you can have on apterous. Your opponent Plum will be very difficult to beat, maxing quite a few rounds while totally missing some others. He'll helpfully pick 4 large numbers, but unhelpfully rob you of some hard earned points in what will be a low-scoring round.
The TWO lowest scoring players in this round will leave the tournament. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
