Paul Thomas This might be my goodbye, I am weak at this variant. I am going to concentrate on getting legal words! Wish me luck
Paul Thomas I've set the back marker at 119. I played it safe throughout but was frustrated to find 'BOARDINGS' was not legal - the eight I would have had from 'BOARDING' may be the difference between whether or not I am the weakest link!
Matthew Tassier Chris is the second highest scorer for the third round in a row, this time Strongest Link Hazel pips him by just a point helped by a trademark crazy pencil (PURWANAHS)
Matthew Tassier Sadly BOARDING would indeed have made the difference (as would the plausible WASPIER* if allowed) as Paul ends 6 points short of Sam. Paul, you are the Weakest Link. Goodbye!
Paul Thomas Thank you Matthew for a great tournament! |
Notes from the organizer: After some tough recent rounds, round 6 will be a chance to rack up some points in a Hyper LA against Prune. I'm expecting the highest-scoring elimination yet.
One lowest scoring Weakest Link will leave the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest score then total score in the tournament so far will be the deciding factor (See notes by players' names).

Good luck!
