Paul Thomas As a newcomer I am loving this tournament and the challenge of not coming bottom. I snuck through with a well-guessed 'DURRIES' and an uncertain 'ARTILY'.
Matthew Tassier Yes, it's a good aspect to a weakest link tournament, there are challenges for everyone regardless of their relative skill levels. Whether it's surviving a few rounds, outlasting rivals, winning a speciality round or having a run at the title.

Mark O'Regan I agree Paul, and it also introduces formats I’ve not tried yet!
John Gillies Have I really survived to round 5 after scoring zero in the previous round? Pleasantly surprised!
Matthew Tassier Yes, luckily you weren't the only player to score zero and your tournament points total was higher, so you live to fight another day.
Matthew Tassier After 5 rounds our top 4 players (Chris, Toby, Elliott and Thomas) have already accumulated more than 500 points. This round saw Elliott as the Strongest Link, maxing 19 out of 20 rounds missing just PACAI.
Matthew Tassier At the bottom there were 10 players who survived by less than 10 points each, with the narrowest escapes from Dan and Adam who doubled their scores in the last 5 rounds to just escape. But falling just short Damian, you are the Weakest Link. Goodbye! |
Notes from the organizer: Round 5 is an Octorock LA against Rex. So, only 8 letters to deal with but you'll need to come up with maxes to get on the scoreboard.
One lowest scoring Weakest Link will leave the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest score then total score in the tournament so far will be the deciding factor (See notes by players' names).
