Jason C. Well, that was fun while it lasted.
Matthew Tassier Historically 110 has been just enough to survive the Hyperlock round. There may still be more fun around the corner.
Adam Dexter George, Martin and I seem to think we were playing snooker here
George Armstrong WAWL !
Michael Oldham Wow, started the other day and had an abysmal 27 points from 8 rounds, put it off until the final day, just managed to scrape through by 1 points... phewwww
Michael Oldham needed 50 points from last 6 rounds but had some nice easy targets :D
Fiona T Doomed - was hoping you'd all forgotten to play! Was fun tho - thanks Matthew :)
Tony Atkins It was one of those games where if I declared 1 away Velvet got it exact and if I went exact something went wrong and I failed to get it. Thanks for orrganising Matthew.
Adam Dexter @Michael Oldham, just a polite reminder from the Sign-Up page: NOTE : Games should be played in a single sitting (barring unforeseen problems), after all there's no passing and coming back later in The Weakest Link. Any penalties for anyone repeatedly failing to do this will be at the organiser's discretion.
Michael Oldham Oh didn't know that Adam, sorry if anyone feels affected by that, happy to take the loss if the highest weak link would prefer.

Matthew Tassier Thanks for that Michael, but I'm happy to advance you as I think it's clear that this was an oversight from a new WL player. Just bear in mind when you're considering starting future round games!
Matthew Tassier Strong hyper players Bradley and Martin L. hit the magic 200 here, but Strongest Link, maxing the Hyperlock round for a second year in a row, is Dave R.
Matthew Tassier This round it's Tracey's turn to get the lucky reprieve thanks to an absentee player and she gets to continue further into the tournament than she has in previous years. In a really tight round Dave O. and Tony are both left within one solve of safety, with Fiona just behind. So, Dave, Tony, Fiona & Piaras you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye!
Dave O'Donnell A misclick in there as well! Thanks for organising Matthew, great tourney
Michael Oldham Cheers Matthew, will not make the same mistake again! |
Notes from the organizer: Round eleven is time to take on the second of the Hyper formats as you will be playing a Hyperlock format game against Apterous Velvet. Velvet will pick the popular 2 large numbers selection and shouldn't do nearly as well as Waldorf did a few rounds ago in Hyper. Don't forget to use the red number in your calculations.
Some stats for this round:
Expected competitors : 52
Weakest Links required : 4
Highest average Hyperlock score (3+ games) : 182.33 - Bradley Horrocks (3 games)
Highest scoring Hyperlock Weakest Link : 104 - Piaras Last-Name (2019)
Lowest scoring Hyperlock survivor : 100 - Anthony Endsor (2016)
For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.
FOUR lowest scoring Weakest Links will be removed from the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
