Fi Thorne Of course I did well in all my practice rounds then spectacularly messed up the real thing!!!! On the bright side, at least I have given the person in third place a get out of jail card :-)
Alan O'Sullivan That's myself Fiona. Similar to you, I had a perfect practice game and didn't do as well in the actual game. Fingers crossed for both of us.
Fi Thorne I'm definitely beyond hope, my score is appalling!
Matthew Tassier Three rounds in and 8 players have accumulated the maximum possible 600 points, but the top player this round was Piaras, a third successive first-time Strongest Link.
Matthew Tassier Colin is really unlucky to lose out on victory margin after a 4-way tie with Tracey, Maria and M S R, and Alan misses out by just 3 points joined by Fi who was unable to repeat her practice form. So, Colin, Alan and Fi you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye! |
Notes from the organizer: Round three will be played in Junior format against Apterous Caesar. Caesar likes to pick 5 small numbers so expect some trickier tasks. With 3 players to be eliminated and this being historically the highest scoring variant, a couple of misses could put anyone in trouble, so the pressure will be on.
Some stats for this round:
Competitors: 66
Weakest Links required: 3
Historic average Junior score: 193.15
Previous Junior max games: 190
Most Junior max games: 7 - Thomas Carey
Highest average score (3+ games): 200 - Ben H, Eoin Jackson
For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.
The THREE lowest scoring players will leave the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches below).
