![]() | Dave Kempshall Because Trevor is a spreadsheet legend, I've had to convert the tour into a google sheet, which means a different link... |
![]() | Dave Kempshall This new sheet should keep leaderboards updated (largely) live although I'm still manually inputting each persons round so it won't be instant - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Iudkg2m2syVhBSd6VNIp0NVSvt5eMoTP3D4DxVDgxQ8/edit?gid=313477589#gid=313477589&range=A1:BM1 |
![]() | Dave Kempshall Thank you Trevor for your absolute wizardry. You've changed my life! |
![]() | Dave Kempshall Round 2 is now live, please play as promptly as possible. 4 people to still play R1 also. |
![]() | Dave Kempshall R3 game will go live tomorrow. it would be lovely to have all R1 and R2 games played prior to this so we can see a good snapshot of the standings before heading into that. |
Notes from the organizer: Thank you all for entering the Apto Golf Tour 2025. We're ready to go and open the season with LIV in Hong Kong. The teams have been selected, T-Cap has confirmed his tour card as World No.1 to defend the individual crown.

Hong Kong is a LIV event and will therefore be played over 54 hole spanning 3 Apterous Attacks with some additional scoring mechanics.
Each round in Hong Kong is a Standard Letters Attack with your first 18 rounds counting as your 18 holes (round 19 and 20 being redundant - aside from the final round where they’ll act as play-off holes if needed).
Scoring is as follows:
Standard (L)
9 letter word = Eagle (-2)
8 letter word = Birdie (-1)
7 letter word = Par (0)
6 letter word = Bogey (+1)
5 letter word = Double Bogey (+2)
4 letter word or below or zero score = Triple Bogey (+3)
(Party Hole - Round / Hole 14 - Double Score)
As it’s LIV we have a ‘party hole’. This hole will see you score to par doubled in each round. That hole is number 14, but the double scoring works both ways. Get an eagle (-2) and your score for that hole will double to -4. Score a triple bogey (+3) and you’ll be left holding a less desirable +6.
Also, with it being LIV - we will have one further scoring bonus opportunity throughout the whole competition. Any words starting with L, I or V will be treated as one letter longer than they actually are i.e. VIOLIN would score a 7, not a 6. That means a 9 letter word beginning with L, I or V would score you a lesser-spotted albatross (-3)
The lowest score to par after three rounds takes the individual crown.
For teams - scoring is the same as above and your team score will simply be the cumulative best three individual scores in your team from each round. Again, lowest cumulative team score to par takes the team title (please see Tour Card for how ranking points are allocated for both individual and teams).
Rounds will go live periodically throughout the tournament with at least 3 days given to play each round. We may overrun a little from the real golf schedule in the spirit of trying to have tournaments unfold round-by-round like they do in real life.
Any question, please just ask.
Good luck!
