Eoin Jackson The masterplan is to keep scoring 177 till it's not enough...
Matthew Tassier Would have been a tournament-winning masterplan last year!
Andy SC Nervously waiting for three people to score lower than 174 😀
Eoin Jackson It's been said "Cowards die many times before their deaths", but I am not loving this three way tie in which I am the weakest link thanks to bloody overachieving Caesar... 😖
Elwin Carlos Hold my beer, I'm sure I'll cock this up somehow
Elwin Carlos Oh, I almost did! Scraped 180. Sorry Eoin.
Fi Thorne Just saved someone! ;-)
Adam Peel am i in the bottom 3 cause i don't understand how?
Elwin Carlos "If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players"

Elwin Carlos Five people scored 170 or lower. Of the three to score 170, looks like your winning margin was the smallest, Adam. :(
Matthew Tassier Another bumper crop of max games, led by this rounds Strongest Link, Martin H. 6 players have the maximum possible 600 points scored from the first 3 rounds, but now is maybe a good time to point out that last year's winner had scored just 547 points at this stage of that tournament.
Matthew Tassier As correctly explained by Elwin, I'm afraid Adam P is the unlucky player to miss out in the three-way points tie for the third Weakest Link place with Patrick L and Martyn edging him out thanks to the winning margin in their games. The other two members of the bottom three were also just one solve short of safety in a tight-fought round. So, Adam, Charlotte and Fi you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye!
Tlou Laz so... when's the next one of these? :)
Fiona T You're currently in the weakest link spot on R4, but the round hasn't finished yet - if 3 people score lower than you, or don't play, you'll get your next game. Fingers' crossed! |
Notes from the organizer: Round three in this year's tournament will be played in Unlimited Junior format against Apterous Caesar. This is similar to the standard Junior variant except there are two available large numbers, 10 and 20. Caesar likes to pick 2 large, and will solve quite a lot of rounds. One quirk of this format is that if 20 is your target then to get your 10 points you must still do a calculation even if there is a 20 in the selection. (e.g. do 20*1 or 20+3-3 or 4*5 etc.)
Some stats for this round:
Expected competitors: 67
Weakest Links required: 3
Previous max games: 108
Most WL max games in this format: 5 - Elliott Mellor
Most WL points scored in this format: 1187 - Gevin Chapwell & Tom Cappleman
Previous rounds vs this bot: 2019 - Round 1 ( https://www.apterous.org/to_tourney.php?tourney=2326 )
For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.
THREE lowest scoring Weakest Links will be removed from the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
