With most R1 games complete, the leaderboard has a familiar look to it. Tom C leads the way shooting the only under par round so far at -2. Matthew B and Martin T are three shots back on +1 with Florence sitting a further shot back on +2. Defending champion Dan B is yet to tee off.
The team standings have yet to really take shape, but it is the Range Goats and 4Aces who look best placed so far. The High Flyers could also challenge, but still have half their team yet to take to the course.
Onto Round 2 and we move to a Goat Attack, so conditions and scoring should improve.
However, there is one special scoring criteria to be aware of for this round. Any words declared that begin with P, G or A will be treated as one letter shorter than they actually are i.e. GRADING would be considered only a 6 and score +1. PARAGRAPH would be considered an 8 and would get -1, ARENA would be downgraded from +2 to +3, so avoiding PGA words is, in most cases, advised.
9 - Eagle
8 - Birdie
7 - Par
6 - Bogey
5 - Double bogey
4 or worse - Triple Bogey
Good luck!
