Adam Gillard I'm just waiting for Chris Davies to realise I've taken the top 3 times in Omelette, relegating him to 5th. Oh crap I've just drawn attention to it. Ah well Chris, you can take all the fastest conundrum records then... you've got loads of them already
Adam Gillard Oh and the Touch Jnr ones were achieved in some kind of weird test game... BETWIXT was the solution to every conundrum
Kai Laddiman I think the Hypergoatdown times are amazing :D
Adam Gillard Hold your horses Laddiman... I'm out to get them all!
Kai Laddiman Broken for everyone or just me?
Tom Rowell yep broken | |
Ian Volante Not broken as such, just badly formatted.
Adam Gillard Please fix this page Charlie; I want to see which ones I'm missing.
Adam Gillard Ta v much | |
Adam Gillard I'm the fastest WOMANIZER in town (see Goatdown times). 216ms is only 1ms off the fastest possible human reaction time and is thus the fastest time on this page.
Jack Hurst Well done, maybe you could be brave and play something other than conundrums now?
Adam Gillard Now that WOULD be brave... but seriously I've played you 5 times in 15 rounders, which is more times than I've played you at conundrums.
Kai Laddiman Now try beating my French Hypergoatundrum records.
Matt Hamer I doubt it'll stay there for very long, but nonetheless I'm enjoying a childish sense of pride at the current 3rd fastest Spoilage conundrum (solved in 1997 ms).
| |
Nick Boldock This page is insane.
Gevin Chapwell The fact that in some of the variants the time is just over 215 ms makes me think that there are probably several just under 215 as well, making the displayed record meaningless.
Callum Todd How is it possible to buzz in 0.2 or 0.3 seconds?
Adam Gillard Hansford | |
Adam Gillard Essentially what Gevin said above; this page is pretty pointless.
Andy Platt You have to Hansford to get a time of under 0.7 on my computer/connection combination, and for others it might even he higher.
Adam Gillard Think my fastest non-Hansford solves have been 0.5s.
Callum Todd 0.7s is sometimes possible for me. I've done 0.6s twice, but I think that may have been down to lag. Normally 0.9 is the fastest my computer can manage, although sometimes it's slower than that. Still, to be able to hansford something on 0.215 seconds after just a brief flash of the letters is quite impressive.
Chris Butler What is Hansfording it though? I mean I know who the guy is and I guess he buzzed before he'd solved it, but to 'buzz' before solving on Apterous surely you only have roughly a 1 in 9 chance of 'buzzing' on the correct first letter?
Matt Hamer Chris: Most of the conundrum times on this page were conundrums which were solved specifically in an attempt to feature on this page. Most of them are in conundrum attacks against bots where the player hansforded every conundrum, usually by hitting the letter "C" as soon as the scramble flashed up. So alongside each correct solve, there are usually several times as many failed solves, as you suggest. Not many people on apterous would hansford in a meaningful human v human game, but against Prune in a specific attempt to feature on this leaderboard, it seems to have been popular.

Chris Butler Matt, I have only just clicked who you are - very 21st century! Cheers for the explanation
David Barnard I didn't realise my game which got me the record hasn't been discounted,I was having abit of fun spectating on another tab so I knew the answer before it came up so please discount the game, Charlie. Cheers
Matty Artell Interesting that 3rd and 4th place for Octorock are the same word, 1ms apart
Johnny Canuck Luckiest Conundrums!!
Ian Volante Apparently mean reaction time for visual stimuli is about 190ms for students. These solves are therefore generally absurd. |
See also: list of all Statland pages.
All times are in milliseconds (ms). Conundrums faster than 215 ms are faster than human reaction time and are therefore not counted.
